Place saved my life, placed here for DUI court . The methods when i was there in 2015 were tuff, but effective. Great councilors who do care, will listen and offer structure. AA/NA encouraged but it isn't AA/NA based, so no "brainwashing" feeling here. The money collection is a little sketchy, they don't take insurance and garnish income but the county will help you out if you can get sponsored. CALL! KEEP CALLING THEM! 24/7 SHOW YOU WANT A BED HERE! it's nothing fancy but i tried fancy and was enabled not helped. All i had was to be willing, i was done with addiction but i couldn't shake it, i didn't know how but here i figured it out.

I personally have not been there but I do know Hope House is saving lives of those who cannot get honest with themselves and the nature of their disease. How badly we sometimes have to be broken inside, lose everything and brought to our knees to see how deeply our lives are in absolute peril, before we take the path God wanted for us all along. Honesty. Openess. Willingness. Thats truly all it takes to change a person's life and arrest the insanity that lives to kill, steal and destroy through addiction. Often Hope House is the 'last house' on the block for many. More often than not, it is also the last chance for real sobriety and a life of happiness, peace and purpose to those who are blessed with the spirit of desperation needed to finally be honest with themselves.

I completed the 6 month program back in 2010. I road the bench for days just like everybody else. I was placed on SEARCH 3 times and still survived. I brought my rationalizations and excuses, and they got me no where. Addicts are self entitled liars who make excuses for everything. I am one of them myself. Having been 5 years sober now and on track to finally make something with my life, I look back and am incredibly grateful for every ounce of tough love that I received there. If you have wrinkles in you fabric of character they will iron them out. For potential clients, bite the bullet and get through the program today may be hard but life is easy without the drugs. For the parents, stop enabling your kids, stop buying them out of their problems. Smite them with some tough love and understanding of the demons they possess. For those that are burnt out and are sick and tired of being sick and tired, Hope House wont be easy but they will straighten your life out.
